Albany Area Services

Albany Area Services coordinates and overseas programs and services in the capital region of New York State. Anyone who walks into the Salvation Army at 20 S. Ferry St. finds family. Someone is always available to accept and embrace you where you are … educationally, economically, socially and spiritually.

The Salvation Army is both a Church and a Social Service Agency. As a church, we have a congregation and provide for their spiritual, social and emotional needs. As a Social Service Agency, we reach out to any one, regardless of faith, race, orientation, and try to provide for their physical, emotional, educational and social needs.

Two corps are located at the facility: Albany Temple Corps and the Albany Hispanic Tabernacle. Our Hispanic Corps serves the growing Latino community in Albany
